That red thingy

Why oh why didn't we figure this out sooner? "That red thingy" kept her entertained for a good 30 minutes before we had to tell her it was bath time, and I'm pretty sure she woulda kept going all night if we'd let her.

Donut's big news

Ok ok for those of you freaking out, wondering if Wingnut is here........no he's not.  I do have an appointment tomorrow morning though so we'll see what happens.

Did you guess her first haircut?  Well you're wrong!  Sorry but Peanut hasn't even had HER first haircut yet, I'm rather in love with their hair.

Who guessed first word?  It's debatable but I think she's already had a few first words.  When she sees a bag of goldfish she'll say "ushhhh"(fish), she says "da-eeee", "mamaaaa", "eeeshhh" (cheese), "doc" (my mom's horse), and on rare occasion "ook" (book).  So yeah, you'd be wrong here too.

So that leaves.....a tooth!  Of COURSE, why shouldn't my 14 month old be getting her FIRST tooth?  Haha, she held out 2 months longer than Peanut to sprout her first pearly.  Well, you may not be able to see it very well, but I do!

1) get her first haircut?

2) getting her first tooth?

3) say her first word?

4) become a big sister?

Hmmm...a science experiment?

Ever wondered what a 4 month old peanut butter and jelly sandwich left un-refrigerated looks like?

Ever wondered what a 4 month old turkey and cheese sandwich left un-refrigerated looks like?

Yeah, me neither!

Dr Update

Saw my Dr today, we did a sonogram, non-stress test, and regular check up.  Wingnut is measuring big supposedly.  They tried to say he's already well over 6lbs (at nearly 34 weeks), but they also said that Peanut was over 5lbs at 32 weeks and she was 4lbs 11oz at birth....2 weeks later, so I don't really buy into their estimates.  He's still doing all the things he's supposed to be, despite all the contractions I'm still having.  So for now it's just wait until next week's appointment unless something changes in the meantime. Hopefully this week I'll actually finish a few things around here :)

Thanks for all your name suggestions, it was greatly appreciated!  Wingnut does now have a name!  IF we tell it won't be till after he's born though, so you'll have to hang tight :)

Donut holes

I love this kid!

She can always make me smile, and for that I'm very thankful.
I love the way she plays with her dollhouse....

GODZILLA STYLE!

Please don't ask me why "grandma" and "daddy" are in the bathtub together.

Her silliness is always welcome!

And her curiosity amazes me!

Comic relief

When I need a good laugh, or even just a smile.....I usually don't have to look far!

3-ish weeks people!

I had a dr's appointment Friday.  They decided to do an ultrasound and check on Wingnut and his toleration to all the contractions.  He tried to be a punk and not do what he was supposed to, but in the end we won and he gave in, aka he is doing good!

Since the medication isn't working to stop contractions I've been bumped up to weekly appointments, including a sonogram and non-stress test (monitors).  If everything goes perfectly we're looking at no more than like 3 weeks before we meet this boy (who still has no name).  But things can change at the drop of a hat, like with Peanut, so it could be anytime basically.  My next appointment is Tuesday, so we'll see what they say (and maybe I'll get some sono pics to share).  Until then I'm just trying to finish some projects and I need to go shopping for baby stuff.  Oops, guess I procrastinated a little long.  He doesn't really need diapers does he?

Can you do this?

Can you walk on your tip toes?  Most people probably can.  But can you walk on your tip toes like this?

This is how Peanut walks, and RUNS sometimes.  NO her heels are not touching the ground, NO this is not a split second thing.  YES she does this on the HARD kitchen floor too.  This kid is nuts!

Crossing things off

I'm finally getting things done!  My ever growing list has hit the back burner due to Wingnut trying to escape, and the fact that I'd rather just do fun stuff with two little girls.  But I finally made some headway.

I'm almost done with Wingnut's crib bumper, his room finally got painted, I finished the crib "skirt" (we need a more manly name for that cuz it has NO ruffles, it's just to hide junk under his crib), I've made 1 of 2 crib sheets, 2 of 3 BIG swaddling blankets, and Mr Nut got his dresser put together!

In Donut's room, I FINALLY finished her last crib sheet so her room is "done" (for now of course, I'm sure in a month I could think of something to change).  Oh and Peanut made the cat at Build-a-Bear for Donut's b-day.  There's even a recording of Peanut saying "I love you KK"....too fun!

And Peanut's room got a makeover/re-arrange just for the fun of it.  She told me to paint pink, purple, or orange.  I couldn't find a good orange, but I found a fun pink/purple combo so we went with it, and she loves it (even if the guy at the paint store was overly skeptical "are you SURE you don't want a sample can for ONLY 3 dollars?")

I jazzed up her plain curtains just a touch....

...added blue inserts to her dressers.....

...and commissioned a stellar artist to paint this funky canvas!

Yay for progress!!!

Oh and PLEASE keep the baby names coming!!!

We need YOUR help!

Ok people, it's finally come to this.  We need suggestions for names, ASAP!!!  With not a single name in the running, time quickly ticking away, and a little boy who seems to want to make his debut sooner than later, we need something to go on.  So please leave a comment with some suggestions.  He can't just be "boy" or "wingnut"!!!  Who knows, maybe there'll be a prize if you suggest the name we pick!

update

I'm home, they discharged me late this afternoon.  Still regular contractions but for whatever reason they're not terribly worried yet.  Got a prescription med to help stop the contractions and I go back to the dr next week unless something changes.  They did a chest x-ray since I'm still sick (after like 2 months now).  They said it looked ok.

Besides for being very tired, things are good I guess and for now Wingnut is staying put!

32 weeks yesterday

Sitting in a lovely hospital gown, hooked to multiple monitors, listening to my babys heartbeat brings back major Deja vou of peanuts arrival.

I've been contracting every few minutes since yesterday. Saw my doctor today and she wanted more monitoring. I've been given my first injection of terbutaline to stop contractions. And I'm sure another is soon to follow.

Wingnut you need to stay put for at least a couple more weeks!
